Pros: the idea behind it.
Cons: everything else.
Are you sick of Tomb Raider yet? I am, especially when it comes to Lara Croft. I mean how desperate do you have to be before you start giving the character bigger boobs to get the title to sell? That's all there is to Tomb Raider anymore. I admit I liked the first one, and maybe even the second, but you've got to know when it's over. How many is it going to take?
The graphics haven't even been improved upon. It still looks as jaggy as it ever did. They at least could have fixed the camera problems. It jerks around so bad half the time I feel I might get sick. I may not have had a complaint about that if I had not played Soul Reaver beforehand. The control isn't always bad either, just most of the time. I think the only thing I really liked about the game was the areas to explore. They had a pretty good feeling about them, and they weren't all just like the ones in the previous games.
You do get a few more moves in this one that aren't insanely hard to pull off, and the jumps are fairly easy to make. If you played the second Tomb Raider you know what I'm talking about. The areas seem like they've put a little more detail into them, which could make your eyes strain a little more to see the items left on the ground, but it wasn't meant to be easy.
All in all this title isn't very good in quality terms, but if all you came for was Lara Croft, you'll get it. A few new costumes, and a new camera angle or two.
